We believe cake makes everything that little bit better. So why not make cakes taste better? Inspired by this simple mission, we set out to bring the homemade goodness we grew up with to tummies across the UK.
We bake with high-quality ingredients, catering for vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free.
OUR STORY
How it began
Chris (Mum) studied catering at college, worked as a Head Chef and attended evening courses in cake-decorating . Favouring traditional bakes that she'd enjoyed making and eating since she was little. With the birth of her kids, Chris took up an admin desk job but frequently baked celebration cakes to order.

The first orders
Tia (youngest) shared a love of homemade bakes and they baked at many events to raise money for charity. Moving to Shropshire mid-pandemic and with jobs uprooted, they poured more time into their passion, making desserts for locals. These first orders inspired them to set up Crumbs box, baking out of the family home.

Taking a leap
For years, Hannah (eldest) had told mum to quit the day job and start a bakery. Designer by trade, Hannah finally inspired Mum to run the business and helped to create the delightful branding, eco packaging, organise marketing, build the website and book events.

With great bakes comes great responsibility, so your bakes are all handmade (they’re perfectly imperfect!), wrapped and packed fresh on dispatch day.

Eco conscious
We make decisions with sustainability in mind, so our boxes - and most of the packaging in them - are fully recyclable. Our bakes are also wrapped in Vegware.

Supporting local
As a small business, we know how important friends are, so we'd like to make as many as possible. We also like to source ingredients locally to reduce food miles.
